We here at Mermaid Cottages, and the rest of the Tybee community, are saddened today. Miss Sylvia, our local musical treasure, passed away Saturday at the age of 101. Her wonderful musical talent and bright spirit will be greatly missed!

I'm so sorry to hear about Miss Sylvia. What a wonderful and fully lived life she had! That is amazing and I know she will be truly missed. Prayers during this time for all who knew her that you may take this time to remember all the wonderful memories that she touched all your lifes with. Hugs!
I know she will live on in spirit on Tybee so maybe it's appropriate that she passed away during the Halloween season….
