It’s Dog Week!
Mermaid Cottages is known for most of their homes being pet-friendly vacation rentals. Why? You might ask.
What you may not realize is that we are very passionate about saving unwanted dogs by fostering them until they have a forever family. Most of these furry friends are on their last leg at kill shelters and Mermaid Cottages is a big advocate for getting these dogs adopted before this happens.
Mermaid Cottages believes that dogs are just as much part of our community as humans. You can be sure that all our Mermaid Team members fall in love with every new foster dog we host. We give them the attention they need to feel worthy of a forever home. To view dogs that are currently available for adoption, please visit the One Love Animal Rescue’s Animal Gallery. We work side by side with this wonderful rescue group to save as many dogs as we can. No dog should ever feel unwanted or left behind and we strive to bring love back into their everyday life and let them shine! It is bittersweet when our Mermaid Team sees them get adopted, but it soothes the soul to know they will have a home with family who love them.
