Another fabulous holiday weekend is on the way, so let us help you make plans to spend Labor Day with the Mermaids! Starting on Friday, August 29th, the next Tybee Arts Association’s Show and Sale goes on all weekend long through Labor Day. On Saturday, August 30th, the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center will host the Savannah Craft Brew Fest, featuring over 150 world-class brews in various beer gardens, educational sessions, live music and more. Then, Sunday, August 31st, plan to spend the day at the beach as live music fills the air from the Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion. There will be live entertainment starting at 7 p.m. and The Swingin’ Medallions will be headlining again this year. Tybee’s famous fireworks show will pop off around 9:15 p.m. and you can see the show from anywhere on the island. It’s always a sell out weekend, so the Mermaids want to share with you what’s still available. Book your cottage, soon, as these won’t last long!
Livin’ the Dream circa 1946 is a charming 1940’s ground-level cottage that’s located conveniently on Jones Avenue (just 3 blocks from the beach!). You’ll love its bright, open rooms with plenty of places to hang out. It’s handicapped-friendly and has a wheelchair ramp. There’s even a spacious deck, covered parking and it’s pet friendly!
Key Lime Parrot circa 1936 is a charming ground level beach cottage. It sports a bright, cheerful and fun beach décor. There’s even a screened porch and a private outdoor shower. It sits directly across from Memorial Park and has a fenced-in yard, too!
Horsepen Creek Cottage & Dock circa 1949 is a ground level, four bedroom cottage that’s perfect for families or Girls’ Getaways! You’ll have your own private dock that sits directly on Horsepen Creek. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy bird watching, crabbing and fishing right off the dock. It’s also pet friendly and has a fenced yard.
Heron Hideaway is famous for its amazing marsh views and it’s just five short blocks from the beach. The third floor screen porch offers incredible views of the marsh which makes it great for bird watching. There’s plenty of space to spread out which makes it perfect for families!
Fiddler on the Creek circa 1940 is a true cottage. It’s small, charming, authentic and a place to relax, unwind and escape to a slower time. This pet friendly hideaway also comes with a covered dock that sits directly on the salt marsh!
Dutton-Waller Cottage circa 1938 is a beautifully restored raised Tybee cottage located in the Back River District. You’ll have a very easy walk to AJ’s Dockside Restaurant, the Alley Three Kayak Launch and the Back River Fishing Pier. There’s a fenced-in yard and it’s full of local art!
Crabby Pirate circa 1940 is a value-priced cottage located directly on the marsh. It has bright, beachy décor and it has great marsh views. The fenced-in yard and outdoor seating makes it perfect for bird watching. It’s located in a quiet, residential neighborhood and it’s also just a 15 minute walk to the 1st Street Beach!
Blue Star Cottage is a fully renovated 1960’s cottage. It’s just four blocks from the beach and it’s always a favorite with families.
