It’s time to follow your impulse to head for the beach for last minute Tybee Island Getaways with Mermaid Cottages!
It’s Fall, but our cottage charm and coastal calm never goes out of season and any time of year is a great time to head for the beach. This weekend, we’re getting outside to enjoy the Tybee Island City Wide Yard Sale Hosted by Tybee Post Theater and Founding Partner Fish Art Gallery. More than two dozen homes and businesses will stage yard sales across the island with proceeds to go toward the restoration of the Theater into a community performing arts and movie venue. Proceeds from many of the sales benefit the non-profit community on Tybee, as well. Maps identifying all the sale locations are available at the Tybee Visitors Center, the Fish Art Gallery and the Tybee Post Theater. We’re also going to show our duck-a-tude at the Lucky Ducky Derby in Memorial Park. We need you here to enjoy ducky races, kids games, music, fun, food, dancing and a silent auction to raise funds for a Tybee Island Community Pool.

Dutton-Waller Cottage circa 1938 is a Historic Tybee raised cottage that’s been beautifully restored and located in the Back River District. You’ll enjoy a very easy walk to AJ’s Dockside Restaurant, the Alley III Kayak Launch and the Back River Fishing Pier.
Tybee Daze Cottage circa 1958 is a 1950’s vintage cottage that’s located on a quiet street. It’s full of original art by the owner and located close to the Back River Beach, the fishing pier and the Alley III Kayak area.
Horsepen Creek Cottage & Dock circa 1949 is a ground level, four bedroom cottage that’s perfect for families or girls’ getaways. You’ll enjoy your own private dock that sits directly on Horsepen Creek. This is just the spot for bird watching, crabbing and fishing right off the dock!
