The calendar may say Fall, but we’ve got plenty of hot Summer fun still to come and that includes the Coastal Empire Surfers for Autism Beach Fest on September 12th! Surfers For Autism creates grand scale beach festivals for children and young adults with autism and other developmental delays and we always have a grand time when they come to Tybee Island. Our young surfers will ride the waves in a safe, fun, judgment free environment where highly skilled surf instructors carefully guide them into waves. The surfers and their families will be treated like rock stars and they’ll enjoy a day filled with a range of activities including stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, live music, face-painting, games, fire engine tours and much more. A catered lunch is also provided, all at no cost to registered participants, their families and volunteers.
