Our All Saints Episcopal Church is holding Tybee Island’s Blessing of the Animals this weekend!
Blessing of the Animals will be this Sunday, October 5th at 4 pm. Gather with us on the Church grounds for this annual event to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis, patron saint of animals and ecology. The Savannah Children’s Choir will perform and refreshments will be served. All animals and their parents are welcome! The Reverend Tom Peyton and the Reverend Deacon Susan Hill are presiding.

It’s October and we’re sharing our five best tips for a boo-tiful Tybee Island Getaway!
Pirates will soon be in Tybee Island, but first we’re going to watch them under the stars. On Friday, October 3rd, “Pirates of the Caribbean” will be showing on the Lighthouse lawn. Bring your beach chairs and blankets and let’s kick off Tybee Island Pirate Fest early. The gates open at 7 p.m. and the movie starts promptly at 8. Help us raid these pirates’ chests to open the doors of the Tybee Post Theater!
I.C.E. (Island Car Enthusiasts) is revving up for their 6th Annual Car Show and their Tybee “ICE” Run. From 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on October 4th at the 14th Street beachfront parking lot, get ready to gawk at one of the finest gatherings of pristine hot rods and other vintage cars.
During the I.C.E. Car Show, there will also be the Tybee I.C.E Run at the Ocean Reef Hotel at 9:00 a.m. The Tybee I.C.E Run is for a good cause, as it raises money for Autism Awareness! It’s Tybee Island. We’re gonna need a bigger weekend. Y’all know when you Fall in love with our little barrier island you just can’t get enough. That’s why we have to start our weekends on Thursdays (and sometimes we just have big weekends that last for weeks!). Get your eyes wide open because you’ll need ’em to be gawking to take in all we have going on!
Thursday, September 18th, our Fall Third Thursday Concert Series kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Join in the celebration at Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion for a concert to recognize the Third Thursday! Every Third Thursday, the city of Tybee holds a concert at 5:30 p.m. for the public to enjoy. Come out and join the locals as we jam out to this free concert. The Pier and Pavilion is located at the intersection of Strand Avenue and Tybrisa Street.
Then, from 7-9 p.m., it’s Dinner and a Movie! Tybee’s newest restaurant sensation, the Tybee Island Fish Camp, hosts a fabulous four-course dinner, each course paired with the perfect wine and movie trivia questions!
On Friday, September 19th, it’s Friday night at the movies! At 7 p.m. it’s safe to come watch Jaws under the stars at the Tybee Light Station.

Plan to meet us over at the Alley 3 Kayak Launch at 2:00 p.m. We’ll shove off promptly at 2:30 p.m. and we’ll arrive at the Crab Shack by 6:00 p.m. This float will be in memory of Frank Schuman, Sr. benefitting the Fresh Air Home. Every summer the Fresh Air Home (FAH) opens its doors to hundreds of Savannah area children! The mission of the Home is to improve the health of the children, to build character, and to help them grow into better men and women — both physically and morally.
