Tybee Floatilla Float For Food

Tybee Floatilla Float For FoodHave you made your plans to join us for the Tybee Floatilla Float For Food?  Mermaids make a difference and we never miss an opportunity to volunteer and help our favorite causes.  On Sunday, August 24th, air up those floats and inner tubes and join the fun as we help raise awareness for Second Harvest Food Bank and the Rising Tyde Food Bank.  We’ll be shoving off from the Alley 3 Kayak area at 3:30 p.m. sharp and after enjoying the sun and the fun on the water we should end up at The Crab Shack at 6:30 p.m.  All you have to do is register in advance and then enjoy this wonderful opportunity for Voluntourism.  It really would mean a lot for you to join us.

It’s also a great time to enjoy Tybee after the summer rush.  Just imagine how much fun you’ll have when you stay in one of our signature cozy cottages. …

When Kristine Kennedy, owner of KKennedyDesigns, saw a video from Dr. Sylvia Earle on TED talk she was immediately inspired to take part in this world wide effort.  Dr. Sylvia Earle founded, “Mission Blue”, a 501c3 non -profit organization.  Dr. Earle urged people “to use all means at your disposal – films, expeditions, the web, …

Mermaids In Our Midst: My Hair Raising 40th Birthday

I have stayed at many of the wonderful Mermaid Cottages over the years. Each is as individual as their name. All are charming, cozy and comfortable. They’re stocked with everything you could want or need. I’ve stayed for girls’ weekend getaways, family trips, working vacations and for charity functions. Diane and her staff have always been friendly and accommodating to whatever needs the trip requires. Anytime I plan a trip to Tybee Island or the Savannah area, I stay with Mermaid Cottages and recommend them highly to my friends. Your stay will always be memorable and enjoyable. …
