Georgia Conservancy Oyster Roast
Roast, shuck, eat, repeat.
Join the Georgia Conservancy March 3rd from 12:30 – 3:00, at Captain Butler’s on Whitemarsh Island for our 2012 Oyster Roast, which features all-you-can-eat McIntosh County oysters, SweetWater beer, Smokehouse BBQ and the sweet Southern sounds of local band Junkyard Angel.
Presented by Georgia Power, the 2012 Oyster Roast is a family-friendly event that brings together Georgia Conservancy trustees, members and friends for great food and good cheer.
Member price: $20 / $35 for couple
Non-member price: $25 / $45 for couple (includes a 6-month Georgia Conservancy membership)

Mermaid Cottages, located on Tybee Island, has several beautiful cottages available the weekend of March 3-4, and they have graciously offered to donate a portion of the proceeds from Oyster Roast rentals to the Georgia Conservancy.

Georgia Conservancy members have the added perk of being able to borrow 2- and 4-person tents (donated by REI) from our gear bank for free. Please email bschroeder@gaconservancy.org to reserve your tent for the Oyster Roast today!

Georgia Conservancy Beach Sweep
Join us from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. for our first Beach Sweep of 2012! We’re hosting members of the Georgia Conservancy this weekend and we’d like to invite our Mermaid Cottages guests and our Tybee and Savannah residents and friends to join us. As usual, The Tybee Beautification Association will provide trash bags, gloves and trash grabbers, so meet us at the Tybee Round-About and let’s make our beautiful beaches, streets and paths look their best!
