I honestly can’t believe this weather. I actually do believe in Global Warming and really don’t like the weather to be this warm in January, but I have to say, it’s pretty gosh darn glorious! I’ve started to take walks over at Ft Pulaski National Monument The water, the birds, the trees, the huge big sky- all makes for an incredible 30 minute walk. I’ve seen all these birds I’ve never seen before- loons were diving in the water today, the Ibis birds were over at Ft Pulaski as well- didn’t see any dolphins today, but I know they are out there enjoying the water!
We have lots of Snowbird guests this winter and I know they are loving this winter! I also know our February guests are eagerly watching the weather to see if their month will be equally as spectacular!

Oh my goodness…where did November go?! It sure is hard to believe the Christmas season is already here and the New Year is right around the corner. I mean, wasn’t it July just yesterday?!
This time of year might be a slower season on Tybee Island, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing going on! Tybee is still beautiful during the fall and winter months, and you can still enjoy long lazy days of strolling with the beach all to yourself! We’re exhausted! We’ve tried our best to choose the best Tybee Island Beach photo for our contest, but we just can’t do it. If it were up to Mermaid Cottages every photo entered would be declared the winner. They were all that good!
