For starters, there’s the Buccaneer Ball. Join us October 10th from 6pm — 10pm for a swashbuckling good time The pirates be gatherin’ to kick off this year’s festival as the Buccaneer Ball returns to the one and only Crab Shack. There’ll be live entertainment, costume contests, grub and grog as only the Crab Shack can provide and a bounty of pirates and wenches. Join the brethren of Tybee as we crown our 2013 King and Queen and kick off our swashbuckling weekend.
It’s Columbus Day weekend, so there’s lots to discover on Tybee Island. Several bands will keep you fired up in between the Friday and Saturday night headliners. Daytime entertainment includes live music, pirate performers, street performers, magicians, puppeteers, weaponry demonstrations, and a few surprises in between.
Get your pirate garb together and walk with us in the Pirate Fest Parade. On Saturday, October 12th from 3-5 p.m. Tybee Island’s streets transform into a parade of pirate ships and pirates.
Don’t worry if you aren’t packing everything from the seas as the Thieves Market will have all the shopping and treasures any low down ne’er do well could need. It’ll be filled with pirate wares, costumes, and arts and crafts. Vendors travel from all across the seas to bring our visiting pirates the most coveted pirate goods available. No need to plunder or pillage, everything you need will be right at your fingertips.
