Happy Little Cottages By The Sea

Cottage Charm, Coastal Calm

Livin’ The Dream

Won’t it be a fantastic Labor Day weekend with The Swingin’ Medallions and Tybee Island Fireworks?  Yep, you can be Livin’ The Dream!  This charming 1940’s beach cottage located on Jones Avenue has three bedrooms, one and a half baths and sleeps seven!  There’s a King bed, a queen bed, a double bed and a twin (double & twin are configured as bunk beds!)   Perfect for a family with kids! Bright, cheerful and newly renovated and just 3 blocks from the beach!

Livin' The Dream

Livin’ the Dream is a one-story bungalow with a very spacious deck that offers lots of seating for enjoying cocktails in the evening or Mermaid Morning Bliss coffee in the morning! There are flat screen TVs in the living room, king bedroom and queen bedroom.  The dining table seats eight comfortably with fun, orange chairs and another cute, aqua table with pink and green chairs.  A separate bench makes a great workstation /play station for laptops or kids’ play (it’s also great if kids need a separate place to dine).

The living area is very spacious with beamed ceilings, large flat screen TV, comfy sofa, ivory slipcovered chair and two great wicker side chairs separated by a darling aqua and cream striped table.  This cottage has been decorated in tones of aqua, orange, pink, red, ivory and it beams with beachy bold color! It has been completely renovated and redecorated throughout with fresh paint, new linens and great built-ins in the bedrooms with lots of counter and storage space!

Livin' The Dream

You’ll find lots of fun beach and coastal pictures throughout that let you know you are “on vacation at the beach!”  There’s even new tile flooring throughout! This bungalow has a very open, spacious layout and the bedrooms are also very spacious and inviting. The kitchen cabinets have been updated in a bright, beachy turquoise and aqua and the kitchen is fully stocked.

Livin’ the Dream is directly across the street from The Shrimp and Key Lime Parrot which makes it perfect  for families and large groups needing multiple cottages!  It’s even so close you can walk back and forth between three cottages (Flip Flop Cottage, Mimosa Cottage and Maddie’s on Jones also nearby)!

Yep!  Just in time for Labor Day you can be Livin’ the Dream.  Just plan on at least three days to visit and give us a call!

  1. Hello!
I stayed in this cottage this past February, the 6th through the 12th. Was with 2 other friends. We loved the place!
Was on vacation for a month, on our way to Florida. The Cottage was very quaint and charming, and I loved the colors. I stayed in the Queen Bedroom and loved the bright pink desk and all the furnishings.
If I ever got down that way again I would most definitely love to stay at the cottage again!
Have a great Summer. I live in Northern New Hampshire.
    Take care and God bless.
    Sincerely,
    Alicia

  2. We stayed at Living the Dream May 28-May 31st, 2015. The cottage was adorable! Decorated wonderfully, and more space that one would think. The walk to the beach was not bad at all, and there was ample outdoor space. We loved the outdoor shower! I was surprised when we arrived to find a jogging stroller, toys, high chair, baby monitors, and pack and play. So thoughtful! We also loved being across the street from the park. We only had two minor complaints- the floor was filthy. We had to wear shoes the entire time or would have black feet, even while repeatedly sweeping. A professional floor cleaning is a must. The second was the A/C. There were notes on the A/C and fridge stating not to set the A/C below 72 degrees due to it freezing up. Even after running for two solid days at 72, the house was beyond hot. The only room that remained cool was the pink room, and that was at night. The others were miserable, so much that we stayed outside most of the time. The A/C unit should be replaced and updated with a unit better fitted for the size of the cottage. Until then, fans would greatly benefit renters 🙂 Other than these two issues, we would stay again! Thanks for the great weekend!
