Come visit Mermaid Cottages on a whim!  Last minute getaways are always welcome around here.  So much so, we even have a cottage named for it.  On A Whim!

Yes, we’ve added even more cottage charm and coastal calm with the addition of this historic cottage. It’s located on Meddin Lane near the Tybee Lighthouse. It’s a truly historic Tybee cottage and a real step back in time!

This cottage was built for non-commissioned officers stationed at Ft. Screven in 1910. It is a 940 square foot cozy, sweet, nostalgic cottage that makes great use of the space to comfortably sleep six!

Filled with vintage décor, it is located down lane with shade from trees planted many years ago!

It is very close to the beach and features three bedrooms, two baths and an outdoor shower!

Walk to the Lighthouse or the beach and then have lunch nearby!

 

The master bedroom is decorated with a queen bed and a private bath.

A second bedroom features a double bed.

A third bedroom looks so inviting with two twin beds.

There is a second bathroom and a fully-equipped kitchen (no dishwasher), as well as a washer/dryer.

There’s a beautiful screened porch with porch swing and lots of seating to relax while you enjoy your Mermaid Morning Bliss coffee or an evening cocktail!

The outdoor shower is pure indulgence!  It’s great for washing away the beach sand and salt before heading inside!

On-A-Whim is very near some of our other Mermaid Cottages’ properties.  For instance, Enlisted Men’s Mess Hall and Screened Inn duplex would be a great option if you have a group that wants to stay close by each other!
