Loggerheads, Kemp’s Ridley, Greens, and Leatherback sea turtles all nest on coastal Georgia’s beaches. Learn about the amazing lives of these sea turtles. You’ll get to discuss anatomy, natural adaptations, why sea turtles cry, natal beaches, and Tybee Island’s conservation efforts. Afterward, head down to the Coastal Gallery to feed the visiting loggerhead sea turtle. Recommended for ages six and above.
It’s sea turtle nesting season and we’re asking our guests to help keep our beaches clean and safe for our sea turtle mommies. Please clean up any trash in your area before your leave the beach, be sure to fill in any holes you make and remove all of your personal property. Be a Tybee Island Clean Beach Volunteer and Fight Dirty Tybee!
