Ms. Opal’s Cottage lights up for Mermaid Cottages, the first decorated cottage of the season. Each year, our holiday guests are invited to choose from our collection of cottages decorated for Christmas. Our Mermaids work with our cottage owners to get the trees decorated and to set out their special holiday decorations. Ms. Opal’s Cottage is an adorable two-bedroom, two full bath vintage Tybee bead board cottage. It is located on the south end of the island near the back river and only a couple of blocks walk to the beach, pier, restaurants, and shops.
Both bedrooms have a queen-sized bed and each bedroom has a flat screen TV.
One bathroom has a clawfoot tub/shower combo. The second bathroom has a walk-in shower (no tub).
The kitchen has been beautifully updated with stainless steel appliances.
The backyard features beautiful landscaping and an 11′ X 23′ backyard seasonal heated saltwater pool, outdoor lounging furniture and a pool house. Additionally, the pool house is stocked with games, books and puzzles. There is also a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
Ms. Opal’s Cottage porch, a classic Tybee screened porch, features Adirondack chairs, rocking chairs and an outdoor dining area.
