mermaid cottages loves your furmaidsMermaid Cottages welcomes your FurMaids, so always bring them along when you visit!  Most Mermaid Cottages are pet friendly and it’s a treat for us when our pet guests bring along their well-behaved humans.  We work extensively with Savannah area animal rescue groups and there’s always a need for pet food.  Now through February 28, 2016 bring your pet AND a donation of pet food (dry or canned) and your pet will stay free (Excludes holidays and special events dates.  New reservations only, please.)!

Most appreciated are dry puppy, kitten, dog and cat foods such as Purina Pro Plan Adult/Puppy/Cat/Kitten;  Wellness, Wholesome or Grain Free varieties.  There’s also a need for wet/soft canned puppy or cat food.  Other items needed include: …

where does your good goWhere does your good go?  When you volunteer, donate and support charities and causes to benefit others your good goes a long way.  Please join us at the 17th Annual Friends of Animals where the theme is Rebel Without A Pawse. The attire is 50’s. Mermaid Cottages feature original art wherever possible. We also love to donate original art to various non profit events on Tybee Island and in Savannah to help raise money for their very important causes. This piece of beautiful art by local artist Jill Ferree was purchased by Mermaid Cottages and donated to this wonderful fundraiser coming up August 15, 2015. Our favorite animal rescue group One Love Animal Rescue will be one of the beneficiaries of this event. …

“Knight is doing well with his Guide Dog Training!  He is training  in-harness now…that is always good news. There do not seem to be many  issues to be worked on…. Keep praying he keeps progressing so we get  the call that he is ready to be matched!”  -Sandy, Knight’s Puppy Walker
