Voluntourism Alert: Tybee Floatilla Needs Volunteers

TYBEE FLOATILLA “WILL FLOAT FOR HISTORY” IS LOOKING FOR A FEW VOLUNTEERS THIS SUNDAY, JULY 1ST! 
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO HAND OUT T-SHIRTS AS PEOPLE ARRIVE AT THE CRAB SHACK, BEGINNING AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30PM.

VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE A FREE
COME JOIN THE FUN!  PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE RESTORATION OF THE TYBEE POST THEATER AND HELP PAINT THE TYBEE LIGHTHOUSE!

Tybee Island Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup

The Tybee Beautification Assoc will be hosting an Adopt-A-Highway cleanup on Thursday, June 21st at 5 pm in preparation of Rand McNally’s visit to Tybee next Friday as part of the beautiful small city in the USA competition.  All residents and visitors are invited to participate.  Each Tybee business is encouraged to send at least 2 employees to help with this effort. Volunteers should meet at the entrance to Tybee to pick up gloves, bags, and grabbers.  If you can’t join us on the 21st, please pick an area to clean as your schedule allows.  Contact Kathryn at 844-1456 for information.

Help Landshark and Ocean Conservancy Keep Our Beaches Clean

This summer, Landshark Lager is partnering with Ocean Conservancy to host the Landshark Fin-tastic Voyage, a series of beach cleanups and events to celebrate keeping our coasts clear of trash.

Want to join in on the fun? Fill out the quick, easy form to sign up for our Tybee Island Voluntourism cleanup!  After registering, we will email you with more information about the events, as well as other opportunities to keep our beaches clean and support a healthy ocean.

  • Cleanup begins at 9:00 AM and goes until 11:30 AM.
  • Stick around afterward for a fun afternoon of paddleboarding and other exciting activities!
