Voluntourism in Tybee Island, GA Beach SweepMark your calendar for a Tybee Island Beach Sweep: Sunday, September 16, 2012, 7:30 am — 9:30 am

Join the Georgia Conservancy, the North Beach Grill, NOAA Gray’s Reef, and Tybee Beautification Association for a Savannah Ocean Exchange Event to clean up unwanted trash on Tybee Island’s beautiful North Beach!

Free Parking for volunteers in North Beach Parking lot. Meet at the North Beach Grill at 7:30 am. Students will receive certificate on-site for 3 hours community  service hours. Further details and online registration to follow.

The dawg days of Summer are upon us and what better way to spend a Monday afternoon than floating down the river with 250 of your closest friends, relaxing, soaking up some rays of sunshine, and raising money for two great non-profits! The Tybee Service Industry Floatilla benefiting MADD “Mothers Agianst Drunk Driving” August 13 @ 11am at the Back River Alley III.
You MUST register for this event and there is a cap of 250 floaters allowed to attend. Registration begins June 1 on www.TybeeFloatilla.com for $30, The Crab Shack for $25, and The Resgiter Law Firm for $25. There is a $5 convenience fee for registering online.
You will receive an entry wrist band and a koozie upon registration. You will receive a Tybee Floatilla “Float Against Drunk Driving” t-shirt at The Crab Shack once the float is over. “Like” Floatilla, Inc. and see the “notes” for ALL the details.  REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN JULY 1 AT THE CRAB SHACK AND JULY 2 ONLINE AT WWW.TYBEEFLOATILLA.COM $100 donations gets you a retry wrist band, koozie, and name on the back of the t-shirt as a supporter.

4th of July Tybee Beach Clean up bright and early!



Hope to see everyone on the Beach  early on the 4th of July!  We’re having a record sea turtle nest season on Tybee-  just found Nest #11 this week and we need to keep our beaches as clean as possible so those amazing sea creatures will come ashore and nest.

Join  The Tybee Beautification Association  July 4th from 6:30AM- 9AM as they work with Tybee locals and vistors to clean up the beach after the thousands who are joining us tonight for the Beach fireworks.

All Volunteers should meet at the Tybee Pavilion for information and supplies.  Water and snacks will be provided.  Come Show your patriotism in this unique Tybee way!
