Blue Heron Cottage is a favorite of many of our guests, but it spent many years bathed in a sweet, yellow color (It was originally called Lemon Drop). The owners have made lots of updates and now Blue Heron Cottage looks great in her new Tybee blue!
I’m in Atlanta attending the SITE SE chapter annual fundraiser for Wine to Water. wine to waterThis non profit was created by a Normal everyday North Carolina bartender and builds wells all over the world in countries that are in disparate need for fresh water. Mermaid cottages always donates a stay and Paula Deen ( who has to be one of the most generous women in the world) donated an autographed cookbook and goodie basket for the silent auction. Tonight’s “southern supper” fundraiser will raise thousands of dollars for Doc to build more wells
I’m staying with a Tybee friend who also lives in Atlanta. And being a good Tybee person of course she has an oyster painted by BellamyBellamy Murphy Murphy. And being a proper southern lady she has beautiful fresh flowers on her table.
