Savannah Boat Show

savannah boat showThe sun is peeking through the Winter’s mists and that means it’s time for the Savannah Boat Show and warm weather!  We’re all tired of socks with our flip flops and hot toddy creations.  If Winter doesn’t hurry up and leave we’ll attach tow hooks to it and drag it out to sea.

Just in case, let’s all turn out for this year’s boat show and make a few notes on what’s new.  The show attracts thousands of current and prospective boat owners and there will be plenty of extensive displays of the latest in watercraft lines, marine equipment, accessories and services.  In between, sign up for the great  fishing clinics and simulations, meet celebrity guests, and enjoy kids’ activities and great food at this family-friendly event.

In particular, I love the pet adventures when I visit Fort Pulaksi National Monument.  This national treasure has it all.  There are interpretive programs, miles of lush walking trails through more than 5000 acres of coastal marshlands, a 150 year old lighthouse, and an abundance of wildlife. Dogs are allowed throughout the grounds; just remember they must be leashed and under their owner’s control at all times.
