We’ve all had a very challenging year and our guests supported us with lots of visits, wonderful reviews and such beautiful photos we have to share them. Some guests came for peach and quiet, some came to quarantine. Some came to remote work and learn and lots came as a way of coping with this ever changing world we live in. We stayed in downtown Savannah for a couple of nights and ended our trip with a few nights on the beach at Sandpiper Cottage. We cannot say enough how appreciative we were of The Mermaids as they truly went the extra mile for accommodating us. The restored historic cottage itself and the thoughtful vintage details throughout are what won us over when choosing a place to stay. Situated on a nice & quiet street, the Sandpiper is short walk to to the beach, coffee shop and other restaurants which we took full advantage of and which made it the perfect location for us. We stayed with Mermaid Cottages on Tybee for our First wedding anniversary and were thrilled to stay with them again for our Fifth. We all agreed it was one of our best vacations ever! The house was clean and well stocked, plenty of dishes and pans in the kitchen, towels and wash clothes in the rooms and extra blankets and pillows. The screened in back porch was our favorite place to be. The house was decorated so cheerily and it made us happy just being there. Wonderful experience! Very close to the beach with private beach access. Close to an IGA for grocery items. Very clean, good size for 2-3 people at most. We loved our experience and we plan to come back! Old Love has a lot of character and charm! – Tobi at Old Love
Perfect!!! from the moment you walk through the door, you are transformed into a relaxed state. Nora’s cottage was everything I hoped it would be and more. We so enjoyed our stay at Whispering Palms. The house was clean and neat and was so relaxing. We spent countless hours on the porch and the kids loved the pool. It was a busy Memorial Day weekend but having the house so close to the beach made it so easy to walk to and from. The air conditioning decided to go out while we were there but that had it fixed within hours!! The response of the management team was amazing!! We are Mermaid repeat guest! Our favorite cottage wasn’t available this year and we booked “Just Beachy” instead. Absolutely loved this cottage. Convenient walking to the pier. Our family were fortunate enough to spend a long weekend at the Tybee Tides. This cottage was so well equipped, we didn’t need to bring anything but our clothes and food. This is our third Mermaid cottage. Each one has been just what we needed. There were six of us and everyone loved it. The kitchen was well stocked, the location was perfect for beach and back river and we loved hanging in the screened in porch. The staff is always helpful. From Allowing us to drop our luggage at the owners porch so we could make an airport pickup, to them bringing the luggage back to the cottage to bringing us fans.
