Pack your wags for Mermaid Cottages Vacation Rentals in beautiful and historic Tybee Island, GA.  We’ve got pet friendly cottages available this summer and throughout the year.

Mermaid Cottages has always been pet-friendly with many of our homes welcoming pets of all descriptions. We’ve welcomed birds, turtles, pet goldfish, in addition to the many dogs and cats who’ve come to stay with us.

Pet Fee is $130 for 1 to 2 pets.  Additional pet fees will apply to more than 2 pets. Even though Tybee Island beaches are not pet-friendly, many restaurants and shops on Tybee love to welcome pets.

We believe very strongly in giving back.  There are several ways we give back to the animal community.  We support local and regional animal rescue groups including fostering, both financially and through volunteering.  Many mermaids on our team take part in foster and adoption programs as well as volunteering at special events for these rescue groups.  Part of our proceeds from every rental go to our annual sponsorship of  Southeastern Guide Dogs, The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, and a non-profit organization, One Love Animal Rescue.

Egret’s Marsh is our most recent pet-friendly cottage added to our collection and it’s a big hit with solo travelers and couples traveling with a pet. It’s an adorable one bedroom ground-level beach apartment located on the south end.

It’s a special place to make wonderful memories any time you need a break. It’s perfect for when you want a few days at the beach by yourself to recharge or for an intimate, romantic getaway with your sweetheart and your best FurMaid.

Egret’s Marsh is a wonderful getaway property that’s quiet, cozy, and much better than a motel room! This can be your very own fully furnished apartment! It’s bright, cheerful, and sunny with new, updated decor throughout. Treat yourself to marsh views and shorebird watching. You deserve it.
