We now have 16 sea turtle nests on Tybee and the season isn’t done yet! Please continue to help keep our Tybee beaches dark this summer. The darker the beach the more sea turtles who come ashore to nest!

Some of you may remember a few years ago when there was a twig nest of green herons. I loved watching them as high up in the tree as they were. I know the sound of their bird calls so when riding my bike home from sea turtle patrol this week and heard their calls i looked up. There on the power lines were about 6 green herons. It’s hard to see them but they are there! I wish some mother green herons would nest in my yard next spring!
