We are so excited! Our Mermaid Cottages headquarters, Mermaid Manor, was featured in the July-August 2011 issue of Savannah Magazine!

Mermaid Manor is near and dear to our hearts here at Mermaid Cottages. The circa 1920s cottage is an island haven, full of cozy touches and coastal treasures, and it’s story is such an inspiring one! Allison Hersh, with Savannah Magazine, did a wonderful job on the piece…if you have ever wondered how Mermaid Manor came to life, or for that matter, how Mermaid Cottages Vacation Rentals was born, you simply must check out the article!

This is just the latest honor for Mermaid Manor. This cottage was featured in the 2008 Tybee Island Tour of Homes! Our Southern Cross Cottage was the 2011 poster child of the tour!

We are so proud! Mermaid Cottages’ Southern Cross Cottage was the poster child of the 2011 Tybee Island Tour of Homes!

Relax...southern style!

The tour was so much fun. It’s really such a great way to see the amazing homes Tybee has to offer and help out a great cause -the campaign to restore the Historic Tybee Post Theater. It’s a big deal on Tybee, and it is such an honor to have been included in the tour. Of course, we were even more ecstatic to find out a Mermaid Cottage was the tour’s poster child for this year!

Southern Cross Cottage is such a gem and we are so proud to call it a part of the Mermaid Cottages Family!

Mermaid Sighting: Paw-sitively Wonderful!

Here at Mermaid Cottages, combing whimsical art and mermaids is one of our favorite things. Just look at these fabulous creations! Connie, the owner of Paws and Paddles Cottage, sent us a picture of her mermaids that will be making the trip to Tybee soon!

Connie said these wonderful ladies were created in Florida and made out of palm fronds! Is there anything better than upcycled art…we certainly think not! Connie, thank you so much for sharing your mermaids with us. We can’t wait to see them on Tybee soon!
