Mermaid Cottages Have Circa Dates
Some Mermaid Cottages have circa dates and that’s our way of identifying the time periods that some of our structures were built. Often times, we know from historical records exactly when a cottage was erected. Other times, we may not know the exact dates, but we know a cottage can be tracked back within a general range of dates through tax records and/or real estate transactions. Regardless, we are committed to saving, restoring and maintaining as many of Tybee Island’s historic structures as possible. Fortunately, we are not alone. Our individual cottages owners and our fabulous team of Mermaids (and Mermen!) are dedicated caretakers. Our wonderful Tybee community supports historic preservation, as well. Just take a look at some of the decades and eras represented in our collection of happy little seaside homes.
