“I do not think I will forget what I did on the tenth anniversary of 9/11. It is easy to detach when you do not know anyone who has died fighting for our country, but the longer it goes on the more and more real it becomes. I photographed this mother and daughter yesterday who lost their husband/father in November of last year and I really wanted to hug her and thank her husband for fighting for our country. Actually, I did hug her at the end, but it is really special and emotional to take these photos for them.”
Christine, thank you so much for allowing us to share your touching September 11th memories and beautiful photographs. And our hearts and thanks go out to Amelia and Anneka. Thank you so much for you bravery and for the service of your beloved husband and father. It is so very true, freedom isn’t free. Thank you for your courage and sacrifices and God Bless you both.
