Livin’ The Dream

Won’t it be a fantastic Labor Day weekend with The Swingin’ Medallions and Tybee Island Fireworks?  Yep, you can be Livin’ The Dream!  This charming 1940’s beach cottage located on Jones Avenue has three bedrooms, one and a half baths and sleeps seven!  There’s a King bed, a queen bed, a double bed and a twin (double & twin are configured as bunk beds!)   Perfect for a family with kids! Bright, cheerful and newly renovated and just 3 blocks from the beach!

Livin’ the Dream is a one-story bungalow with a very spacious deck that offers lots of seating for enjoying cocktails in the evening or Mermaid Morning Bliss coffee in the morning! As part of the three day Opening Weekend for Mermaids and Merwomen in Black Folklore: A fiber Arts Exhibiton, you are invited on September 7th at 6:30  p.m. to Fort Moultrie on Sullivans Island,  South Carolina for a very special Celebration.  September 7th is the Feast Day to honor Mermaid goddess Yemaya.
According to Yoruba elders, The Black Mermaid  is the “unseen mother present at every gathering.  “She is omnipresent and omnipotent. Her power is represented in Yoruba teaching  reminding  us that ‘no one is an enemy to water’.”  High Chief and High Priest Nathaniel Styles of the Yoruba Kingdom will introduce and educate us as how to honor and celebrate the Black Mermaid Yemaya. …
