It’s Tybee Island. We’re gonna need a bigger weekend. Y’all know when you Fall in love with our little barrier island you just can’t get enough. That’s why we have to start our weekends on Thursdays (and sometimes we just have big weekends that last for weeks!). Get your eyes wide open because you’ll need ’em to be gawking to take in all we have going on!
Thursday, September 18th, our Fall Third Thursday Concert Series kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Join in the celebration at Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion for a concert to recognize the Third Thursday! Every Third Thursday, the city of Tybee holds a concert at 5:30 p.m. for the public to enjoy. Come out and join the locals as we jam out to this free concert. The Pier and Pavilion is located at the intersection of Strand Avenue and Tybrisa Street.
Then, from 7-9 p.m., it’s Dinner and a Movie! Tybee’s newest restaurant sensation, the Tybee Island Fish Camp, hosts a fabulous four-course dinner, each course paired with the perfect wine and movie trivia questions!
On Friday, September 19th, it’s Friday night at the movies! At 7 p.m. it’s safe to come watch Jaws under the stars at the Tybee Light Station.
Bring your beach chairs and blankets and we’ll have freshly popped movie popcorn, beer, wine and soft drinks for sale.
Then, Saturday, September 20th, get ready for the Paint Coastal Georgia Pink 5k Walk. Meet us at Memorial Park to walk and compete in the Man Olympics. Men (and gals too!) competitors will start competition at Memorial Park at 4 pm. Events include Football Toss, Washers, Basketball Free Throws, Darts, Putt-Putt, Horseshoes and Cornhole. The top competitor in each event will receive a prize, as well as the top three overall competitors!
The best way to be loved is to show some love! Help us turn the tide on ocean trash! Participate in the International Coastal Cleanup. Its the world’s largest volunteer effort to clean up waterways and the ocean! Join us Saturday September 20, 8 a.m. — 10 a.m. on the Pier at Tybee Island.

Tybee Daze Cottage circa 1958 is a 1950’s vintage cottage that’s located on a quiet street only five blocks to the beach. This artsy cottage is full of original art by the owner and it’s located close to the Back River Beach for fishing and kayaking.
Livin’ the Dream circa 1946 is a charming 1940’s ground-level cottage that’s just three blocks from the beach. Guests love it’s bright, open rooms with plenty of places to hang out. It’s full accessible and has a wheelchair ramp. A spacious deck and covered parking make this wonderful pet friendly cottage a great choice!
Barefoot Children is an adorable, fun cottage that has children in mind. There’s a pirate-themed kids’ room, a reading nook, a play area under the stairs and a screened porch for enjoying ice cream and popsicles. The large family room even has beach and kid-friendly denim furniture!
