Mermaids make a difference.
Through special arrangements and the generosity of our cottage owners of Egret’s Marsh and Vitamin Sea Cottage, all proceeds from their rentals through the end of September 2021 will be donated to Women for Women International.
It is a moment of grim uncertainty for Afghan women. Violence is rising and women are caught in the crossfire. This donation will be an emergency gift to provide a lifeline for women in Afghanistan during their time of need. It’s the Mermaid way.

Egret’s Marsh is an adorable one-bedroom ground-level beach apartment located on the south end. It’s a perfect getaway for a couple or a solo adult traveler. This gorgeous raised Tybee cottage is situated near the Back River, the public dock and just down the block from the Alley 3 kayak launch. It features a ground-level area with beautiful flowering foliage and an outdoor shower with a really cute changing area. There are rinsing areas for gear and places to hang/dry gear. The perfect cottage (location and amenities) for kayak enthusiasts! “Money raised through this emergency appeal will be used for activities which specifically support our Afghanistan response. That means money could be spent on adapting our program to the current situation, supporting program participants and staff in the country or refugees forced to leave, our advocacy work specifically related to the situation in Afghanistan, additional security support for staff and operations, and other solutions we develop in the coming days.”
