Mermaid Cottages’ Tradition Of Service

Mermaid Cottages is proud to sponsor service dogs through three awesome programs, including our Beach Bum Biscuits.  Proceeds from the sale of our biscuits go to support service and guide dogs!

Mermaid Cottages has always sponsored Guide Dogs like Boomer and this is just another way we can continue these awesome programs of service into the future!

For more info, stay tuned to our Beach Bum Biscuits Blog.

Contributions from Mermaid Cottages rentals and the sale of Beach Bum Biscuits help support these important programs:

Southeastern Guide Dogs’ Puppy Sponsorship Program

Your stay with Mermaid Cottages will continue the efforts to support Southeastern Guide Dogs’ Puppy Sponsorship Program, which make it possible for disabled individuals to realize their independence through the use of a service dog. These programs also assist returning soldiers soldiers with a variety of needs including post traumatic stress disorder.

The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind

Your stay with Mermaid Cottages will also support The Guide Dog Foundation For the Blind. Since 1946, the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc. has provided guide dogs free of charge to blind people who seek enhanced mobility and independence.

Beach Bum Biscuits can be purchased locally on Tybee Island at Seaside Sisters and you can also email us at diane@mermaidcottages.com or call us at 912 313 0784 to order by email or phone.

Your support is greatly appreciated!

Screened Inn Bliss on Tybee Island

We love hearing from you, our cherished guests! It really makes us smile to hear about your stay with us at Mermaid Cottages. Like this review from Michelle from Lawrenceville, GA, a recent guest to Screened Inn Cottage:

“I could only get away from work for a few days. I was taking my mother and traveling with teenagers too, so I was not too sure how this trip would go. Between shopping, the lighthouse, bike rides on the beach, and a quick trolley tour of Savannah, we were all able to find things to do that we enjoyed. The best part for me was coming back to the Screened Inn each day sitting on the porch, the hammock, or at the lovely kitchen table and feeling so relaxed and at home.”

Thank you for sharing Michelle!  We are so glad Screened Inn could be your restful haven, even if just for a few days! Don’t be a stranger, y’all come back to Tybee real soon!
