Enlisted Men’s Mess Hall circa 1925
This Tybee Island landmark was originally built as a soldier’s mess hall. It’s been completely restored and preserved for today’s hungry travelers. It’s pet friendly and has a wonderful, fenced yard. Guests love that it’s only two blocks to the beach and its marvelous wraparound screen porch with lots of rockers.
This ground level, charming cottage is the other side of our Enlisted Mens Mess Hall unit. It’s also located in the quiet, historic Officer’s Row section of the North Beach at Fort Screven. With a short, seven minute walk to the beach it’s very popular and JC Park connects with the back yard.
This Screen porch overlooks Venetian Drive and the marsh. Sunsets are perfection itself. We are constantly updating and improving the screen porch. We always have lots of seating including table and chairs for dining on the porch.
Deck seating elevates this back yard up front. The back yard has a deck with two entrances from the two back bedrooms. Seating on the deck overlooks the fenced- in back yard.
Cottage life at Nora’s includes a wonderful screened porch for enjoying Mermaid Morning Bliss Coffee, ice cold sweet tea or evening cocktails. Outside, Nora’s features a fire pit and charcoal and gas grills.
While technically not a porch, we still love how this outdoor living room becomes and outdoor theater at night. Guests adore this outdoor (carpeted!) seating. Bring a sheet and a projector and you can have an outdoor family movie right here.
