It’s going to be another fun filled celebration on Tybee Island when the Mermaids make Halloween a special treat! You can be right in the middle of all the fun with a stay at Madelyn’s on the Marsh circa 1940.

Each year, the Mermaids help turn Lewis Avenue into a spook-tacular street for Trick or Treat delights. Here are some photos from Lewis Avenue last year. The Mermaids will be celebrating and giving out candy this year from Crabby Pirate Cottage circa 1940. We’ll even be giving out Beach Bum Biscuits for the ghoulishly decked out pets that come Trick or Treating, too! …

I thought my beloved tybee island was full of cottage charm and mermaids but Martha’s Vineyard may be our equal. This charming cottage we are renting in the area called East Chop called the Mermaid Boathouse is ideal for our much needed rest after a long rental season and passing of my mom. This cottage was also featured in Coastal Living magazine and the book Coast by Janelle McCulloch who also came to tybee and included several of our cottages in the same book.

Loving our time here! Let day 2 of our adventure begin!
