Our first Beach Walk Jewelry Class with designer, Kristine Kennedy, was such a huge success she has agreed to have another one on Monday, Sept. 5th from 10AM-2PM!
Beach Walk Jewelry Class
Capture the cry of the seagull, and the playful dolphin, the essence of the sea foam, the marsh grasses under moonlight, the pull of the waves…in a piece of jewelry.
Come spend time taking a walk on the beautiful beaches of Tybee with local jewelry artist Kristine Kennedy of KKennedyDesigns and discuss the sites, colors, smells and sounds of the ocean.
Enjoy collecting beautiful treasures and memories from the sea. Then, take what you’ve discovered back to the Dragonfly Studios and learn basic jewelry making and assembly techniques. You will learn to make a lasting piece of jewelry to hold your memories from the days you spent at the beach .
Color, scale, volume, draping, symmetry and balance, among other things, will be discussed. Tools and basic supplies will be provided for the class fee of $35. Additional materials for pieces will also be available for purchase to augment your creations.
Beginners to advance students are welcome. Sunscreen, water and sun glasses are recommended. Bring a bag lunch or snacks if you’d like. The class will be four hours long, including the time on the beach and assembly.
