Surfers For Autism comes to Tybee on Saturday, September 6th, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our cottages! The Surfers For Autism mission is to unlock the potential of people with developmental delays, support advocacy for autism issues and scientific research. Their focus is to eliminate stigma through public awareness and education and to unite communities through volunteerism. From 9 a.m.-4 p.m., come be with us on the beach area south side of Walter W. Parker Pier & Pavilion. It’ll be a day of fun and it’ll also be educational for special needs children and their families. It’s a fantastic time to be in Tybee Island and to be inspired as we support these special guests and their families. Our cottages are happy to be supporters of Surfers For Autism and here’s a look at some of the vacation rentals we have available.
Breeze Inn circa 1942 is Mary Kay Andrews’ 1940’s classic personal beach cottage! She furnished and named it with a nod to the fictional Breeze Inn Motel in her bestselling novel, “Savannah Breeze”. It features an awesome chef’s kitchen and a screened back porch. Your stay includes a complimentary autographed Mary Kay Andrews book, too!
Dutton-Waller Cottage circa 1938 is an historic Tybee raised cottage built by Mrs. Waller as her family’s summer home. It’s beautifully restored and located in the Back River District. You’ll have a very easy walk to AJ’s Dockside Restaurant, the Alley III Kayak Launch and the Back River Fishing Pier. Everyone loves the fenced- in yard and this cottage is full of local art!
Tybee Daze Cottage circa 1958 is a 1950’s vintage cottage that’s located on a quiet street (it’s only five blocks to the beach!). It’s very tastefully decorated with original art by the owner and it’s also close to the Back River Beach, the fishing pier and the Alley III Kayak area.
These are just three of the beautiful cottages available when Surfers For Autism comes to Tybee. Give us a call and let us help you select just the right cottage for your visit. The surf’s up in Tybee Island and we want to see you out there riding the waves!
