Save The Date For Joey’s Pawtograph

Save The Date for Joey's pawtographSave the date for Joey’s Pawtograph this week.  Yep, suave and de-boner Joey, aka the shop dog at Seaside Sisters, will be signing pawtographs to celebrate Mary Kay Andrew’s latest novel.  In Save The Date, “a wedding florist finds love and trouble in this delightful new novel by The New York Times bestselling author of Ladies’ Night.  A Savannah florist is about to score the wedding of a lifetime-one that will solidify her career as the go-to-girl for society nuptials. Ironically, Cara Kryzik doesn’t believe in love, even though she creates beautiful flower arrangements to celebrate them. But when the bride goes missing and the wedding is in jeopardy, Cara must find the bride and figure out what she believes in. Maybe love really does exist outside of fairy tales after all.”  Our pal Joey was the inspiration for a couple of the canine characters in the book and yes, his ruff-n-ready good looks do translate well to the written word.

Save The Date for Joey's Pawtograph

Joey’s time in the spotlight kicks off this Wednesday, July 2, from 1-4 p.m.  Be sure to grab some gelato from Sweetie Pie’s (YES, she’s OPEN!) while you shop and chat with Mary Kay Andrews and Joey.  There’ll also be “nibbles and bits” and fun swag bags for the first 30 people in the door to buy a book!  We’ll continue our howling good time with great gift basket drawings all day from our wonderful vendors, too!

While you’re here, be sure to save the date for your next staycations and getaways to Mary Kay Andrews’ Tybee Island beach cottages, Breeze Inn circa 1942 and Ebbtide circa 1932.  Joey says, “It’s pawty time!” and that’s something to bark about.

All My Romance Needs Is You

all my romance needs is youEver catch yourself thinking, “All my romance needs is you…”?  Thinking of that someone special you wish would come along and set the fairy tale in motion?  Sometimes, it may feel as if you’re talking to the walls.  Does the universe ever listen?  Who’s gonna rock your cosmic aura and bring you the moon and the stars?  Well, you won’t find him or her while you’re sulking alone in your bedroom.  If you’re gonna talk to the walls, why not make it all fancy schmancy with ruffles and lace and beachy colors and textures that long to be caressed?  You gotta get out there and ring your bell.  If you don’t think you’re a big deal… why would anyone else think so, either?  It’s time …
