“We had a lovely stay at charming “Screened Inn”. The cottage was just as it appears in the photos online and was perfect for myself, my daughter, parents and sister. We loved the screened in porch, the cozy kitchen, the comfy living area and the beds were absolutely heavenly to sleep in. The access to the park and the beach was easy and convenient. We drove into Savannah on several occasions and found it to be a quick and uncomplicated drive. Would recommend Crab Shack and Fannies on Tybee, Old Savannah Trolley Tours, Wormsloe Historic Site, Bonaventure Cemetery, River Street, Tybee Island Light Station and the beautiful beaches of Tybee. We’ll be back!!! The Mermaid Cottages staff was wonderful!!” …

These are truly the taste of summer to me. I remember when I was a boy. That would be the 60’s for me. Biting into a fresh picked and tree ripened peach and thinking it was the most delicious thing I’d ever tasted. I had on of these for lunch today and that long ago food memory came back to me. They are hard to resist so don’t.

OMG! Two more nests were found on Tybee Island this morning!!! That makes 16 nests this year!!!! Plus Nests 1 & 2 are starting to show signs of hatching…. Nest sitting has begun and who knows when they’ll start! Mermaid Jan and Seaman Bobby are taking their turn sitting tonight. We’ll keep you posted!
