Happy 4th of July! Thousands of you have descended on the island to celebrate our country’s birthday. The beach is packed, the weather is gorgeous- hot and sunny, but not too humid- perfect for everyone to enjoy and celebrate! This afternoon was a BBQ cookout at Sue and Gary’s home, fresh boiled shrimp from JB the shrimper, Pulled Pork that Gary had cooked for 15 hours in the outside smoker ( covered in his secret rub ), sides included his aunt’s secret receipe for cole slaw and mother’s equally secret and wonderful receipe for potato salad and other yummy food. Desert was Marsh Mud- Sue’s incredible brownie/ fudge chocolately desert….. Fireworks tonight on the beach at dusk. We’re so lucky to be Americans, no where else in this world is such freedom and opportunity to be and accomplish anything you truly want….. God bless America!
